Nicole is a Clinical Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor who has been registered as a General Psychologist since 2003 and endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist since 2016. She has worked with adolescents, adults and older persons from various cultural, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. Throughout her career, Nicole has held a number of psychologically focused positions within both the private and non – profit sectors.
Nicole’s past experience and areas of special interest include working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, schizo-affective disorder and bi-polar affective disorder, in addition to working with carers, victims/survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence.
Nicole has many years’ experience in the areas of health research, aged care psychiatry and the psychological management of chronic health conditions, while her past roles within the National Carer Counselling Program have allowed her to work extensively with individuals caring for someone who is suffering from a mental illness, terminal or chronic illness, disability or ageing issues.
Nicole has worked as a Psychologist within both the private school and university settings and has also provided support to adolescents suffering from eating disorders within a Melbourne based Eating Disorder Day Program.
Nicole offers a range of psychological therapies to suit individual needs, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. Her approach to therapy is person-centered, focusing on helping clients to better understand themselves and develop practical strategies to address their psychological concerns.
Nicole is experienced in both the development and facilitation of group programs, including CBT focused social anxiety disorder programs, carer group counselling programs and VCE stress management group therapy programs.
Nicole provides Competency-based Supervision Services, is a board approved supervisor (AHPRA) and is able to act as a Principal Supervisor for Psychologists working towards endorsement and undertaking the Clinical Psychology Registrar Program. In addition, Nicole is able to offer ongoing supervision to fully registered General and Clinically Endorsed Psychologists, as well as Social Workers and Counsellors registered with AASW and ACA.
