Nicole has been a Clinical Psychologist since February 2016 and has worked as a Registered Psychologist since July 2003. She has worked with adolescents (13+), adults and older adults from various cultural, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. Throughout her career Nicole has held a number of psychologically focused positions within both the private and non – profit sectors.
Nicole has had extensive experience in the area of aged care psychiatry and health research and through her past roles in the National Carer Counselling Program she has worked extensively with individuals caring for someone who is suffering from a mental illness, terminal or chronic illness, disability or ageing issues.
Nicole’s past work experience and areas of special interest include working with victims/survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence, individuals suffering from mental illnesses including schizophrenia, schizo-affective disorder, bi-polar, depression and anxiety. Nicole has also facilitated a CBT focused adult social anxiety disorder group therapy program.
Nicole has also worked for two years counselling and assisting students as a School Psychologist in a private school within one of Melbourne’s inner east suburbs and has also provided psychological support to adolescents suffering from eating disorders within a Melbourne Based Eating Disorders Day Program.
Nicole offers a wide range of psychological therapies to suit individual needs, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. Her approach to therapy is client-centered, focusing on helping clients understand themselves and develop practical strategies to their coping problems.
