Dr. Melissa Marot has over 15 years of experience in medico-legal, community and organisational settings, an endorsed Clinical Neuropsychologist and Organisational Psychologist.
Melissa has clinical experience working in a diverse range of clients across the life span, from adolescents to older adult age groups with a range of neuropsychological needs: including acquired brain injury, dementia, neurodegenerative conditions, neurological disorders, neurodevelopmental and learning disabilities, substance use, and complex mental health. Her focus is helping people and their families make sense of their circumstances, make day to day changes that lead to happier healthier lives, in the context of neuropsychological injury and illness.
At DS Psychology, Melissa provides neuropsychological assessments across wide range of community and medico-legal purposes. Such as, understanding cognitive abilities for support/rehabilitation, diagnosis, capacity and decision making (financial, medical, work, parenting, driving and other forms of capacity), comorbid complexities (psychiatric/substance use), National Disability Insurance Scheme, and disability support.
Dr. Melissa Marot graduated from the University of Melbourne with professional Masters of Psychology/PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology, and the University College London in the field of Psychology with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and Masters of Science. Across her career Melissa has researched and worked in the United Kingdom, USA, and Australia, sits on scientific advisory panels, provides workshops and seminars both to professionals and the wider community. With expertise in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), British Psychological Society, APS College of Clinical Neuropsychology, and APS College of Organisational Psychology.
