Magdalena Mroczka is a registered psychologist who is passionate about supporting clients of all ages through challenging times in their lives. She has provided assistance to children and adolescents in hospital and educational settings, and worked with young adults, adults and older adults in community and private practice settings.
Magda has completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She worked as a school psychologist, as a part-of multidisciplinary teams at Monash Medical Centre in Clayton in both Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service., Children’s Cancer Centre where she assisted young people and adults with coping with chronic health issues and recovery from cancer and Agile Psychological Medicine providing brief psychological treatment to people in distress and experiencing situational crisis. She has also worked in various roles within community sector including domestic violence services at Doncare helping women and children recover from impact of family violence.
Magda is experienced in providing long-term or short-term support for individuals of all ages. She works collaboratively with her clients in a compassionate, non-judgemental atmosphere to facilitate a learning of new coping skills, knowledge and communication skills. Magda uses a collaborative and holistic approach to respond to clients’ needs and empower them to make meaningful changes.
Magda has a special interest and experience in working with clients who are of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, clients who identify as LGBTQI, clients of diverse spiritual and religious beliefs as well as chronic health issues and men’s mental health. She is also experienced in helping individuals experiencing major life transitions, such as parenthood and retirement.
