Kylie has been a registered psychologist since 2001. She commenced her career as a school psychologist and has held roles across primary and secondary schools, in both the public and private systems. In these roles she enjoyed working with a diverse range of students and helping families experiencing a variety of issues, including grief and loss, family breakdown, learning difficulties, social, emotional and behavioural problems, self harm, school refusal, and bullying. In 2012, Kylie made the move to private practice where she continued to work with children, adolescents and families, and also adults. She has experience working with a range of adult issues including depression, anxiety, work stress, relationship difficulties, and grief and loss. Kylie also has a specific interest in the perinatal period and has worked with 100’s of expectant parents using a relaxation-based program (HypnoBirthing) to address fears and anxieties in the pregnancy, birth and bonding stages.
Kylie believes that each client brings with them a unique set of strengths to be rediscovered and enhanced. She believes in providing a warm and accepting environment for clients, where they are able to talk openly and honestly about their feelings and share the exploration of their beliefs, values, thought patterns and personal goals. Kylie uses an individually tailored treatment approach that sees clients empowered to create meaningful change within themselves and in their relationships.
