Kinza brings a wealth of knowledge from studying and living across 3 different countries (Pakistan, America, and Canada), and has substantial experience across a range of settings treating client groups across the lifespan. Kinza has worked in a Medical Pain Clinic for 3 years working with adolescents and adults experiencing sexual trauma, relationship issues, schizophrenia, bipolar and other mood, and anxiety disorders. She is a Fulbright scholar, a certified Mental Health First Aider, and a culturally competent psychologist (able to provide counselling in 3 other languages: Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu) and has also worked as a school counsellor helping children with learning and developmental difficulties.
She has expertise in counseling, teaching, research, and leadership and approaches therapy with a caring, patient interpersonal style as well as attention to detail, and a high level of organizational skills. Whether it’s one-on-one therapy or group sessions, Kinza is dedicated to helping people from all walks of life and is a true difference-maker. Her diverse clinical interests, including working with couples, and a range of therapeutic approaches offer a well-rounded and tailored way to address various client needs.
Kinza is married and enjoys bringing a warm, compassionate approach to her work, creating a supportive environment for her clients to navigate their mental health journey. Kinza stays updated on the latest advancements in psychology to ensure that her clients receive the highest quality of therapeutic support. Her dedication to mental health and well-being extends beyond the counseling room, as she actively contributes to community initiatives promoting mental health awareness and destigmatization.
