Kaylah is a registered psychologist who has completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology. She brings to DS Psychology a strong passion in working with adults who are experiencing mental health difficulties or seeking additional support to create meaningful change in their lives.
During her Master’s degree, Kaylah trained at Monash University Counselling Service and worked with young adults undertaking their tertiary education. Within this role, Kaylah helped students with a range of study-related concerns, adjustment difficulties, as well as psychosocial difficulties, such as anxiety disorders, depression, low self-esteem and friendship or relationship issues. Kaylah has also trained at The Austin Hospital Respiratory and Sleep Psychology Clinic where she worked with adults who had complex health and sleep related disorders. She has comprehensive knowledge and experience in helping individuals understand their sleep, and can effectively improve sleep patterns and overall sleep quality.
Kaylah is skilled in providing both brief and longer-term therapeutic interventions. She ensures her treatment approaches uniquely match her individual clients and collaboratively works at their pace to create change.
Kaylah creates a warm, nurturing environment to make her clients feel comfortable to express their needs and goals for therapy. She seeks to empower her clients by supporting their development of skills, as well as encouraging self-exploration and understanding.
