Jovell has clinical experience in a range of settings including working with NDIS and clients seeking job placement, working with Oz Child, foster care and within an indigenous mentoring role.
Jovell has lived in Singapore, China, and Malaysia and has been exposed to different cultures and is well-travelled. She can speak mandarin conversationally. She is comfortable working with clients with different backgrounds, cultures and being able to navigate a client’s mental health in line with their religious and cultural beliefs.
She has particular experience in working with children and teenagers in a range of settings, is also able to see adults and is interested in working with presentations such as eating disorders, OCD, mood disorders, personality disorders and general life difficulties. Jovell is also particularly interested in psychological assessments which includes cognitive, educational and memory assessments.
Jovell is passionate about creating a safe environment for her clients to be their authentic self in therapy. She has a warm therapeutic style focused on helping clients become a better version of themselves and develop skills that will help them create a positive change in their life.
