Josh has been a Registered Psychologist since 2018.  He brings to DS Psychology Group a wealth of knowledge in the sleep disorders field, holds a practice certificate in Sleep Psychology and has over 15 years of industry experience in sleep so can offer specialist knowledge and assistance to clients experiencing sleep disruption and sleep difficulties.  Josh also has a good medical knowledge having worked in public hospitals for almost 20 years. Josh also has an interest in gaming and internet disorders and is able to help clients across the lifespan who are struggling with gaming and internet addiction issues.

Josh has also worked for the past two years providing psychological services to the unemployed, assisting them to improve their mental health and re-enter the workforce. He is able to work with teens, adults and older adults across a range of other presenting issues such as relationships, parenting, trauma, gender roles, couples, men’s psychology and reducing domestic violence. He also enjoys working with clients experiencing transitions and adjustments in their lives including clients with health conditions and helping them to move forward in a meaningful way.

Josh believes in a collaborative approach to therapy and in matching the style of therapy to each client’s needs. Josh has a very engaging, warm and professional style which attracts clients across the lifespan and which helps facilitate effective progression towards agreed goals.
