John Bowles

Provisional Psychologist
MPP, BA Honours (Psychology), MEd (Special Education)

 

John is a provisional psychologist who has completed a Master of Professional Psychology at Monash University. He is registered with the Australian Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

John comes to DS Psychology with 20 years of experience in the education sector. He has worked extensively in special education and student welfare. John also has experience working as a crisis support counsellor and has a good understanding of the many day to day challenges people face in their lives.

John’s professional and life experiences have taught him the importance of developing good working relationships. This is reflected in his counselling style, which emphasises’ open and compassionate communication. John values taking a considered approach to therapy, tailored to the client pace, with a belief that a solid therapeutic relationship is the key to progress.

On a personal  level John has 3 children, and enjoys coaching sports.
