JAMES WILLCOURT
James Wilcourt
Registered psychologist
James is a skilled and empathetic registered psychologist who is passionate about helping you achieve your goals and improve your quality of life both now and into the future.
James’ approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that each person is unique and has the capacity for growth and change. He works collaboratively with you to create a safe and supportive environment in which you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours without fear of judgment or criticism. James understands that everyone’s journey is different and is committed to tailoring his approach to suit your unique needs and preferences.
Prior to becoming a psychologist James was a member of the Australian army for over a decade. His time in the military and particularly his time as a team leader helped him gain insight into the effects of stress and pressure in a high demand, high stakes work environment. This has fostered in James a special interest in helping people to develop resilience, self-compassion, and to embrace their own unique value.
