Emma is a compassionate and dedicated provisional psychologist with a genuine passion for helping individuals achieve personal growth and well-being. With a warm and accepting demeanor, she creates a safe and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable expressing their thoughts, emotions, and concerns. Emma understands the importance of collaboration and believes in actively empowering her clients to participate in their therapeutic journey. She takes a client-centred approach, recognising that each individual possesses unique strengths, values, and goals. By fostering a strong therapeutic alliance, she ensures that clients feel heard, understood, and supported throughout the process.
Previously Emma gained valuable insight into various mental health conditions while working in the community sector. Her experience working with diverse populations has equipped her with a deep understanding of the complexities of human behaviour and the various factors that influence mental well-being. She approaches each client with an open mind and a willingness to adapt her therapeutic approach to best suit their needs.
With a commitment to evidence-based practices, Emma employs a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness-based approaches tailored to each client’s specific needs. Through her empathetic and collaborative style, she empowers individuals to develop effective coping strategies, gain insight into their thinking and behaviour patterns, and create positive change in their lives. Emma has completed a Master of Professional Psychology at Deakin University. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi).
