Educational & Developmental Assessments

At DS Psychology Group we conduct a range of assessments to explore whether an individual meets the diagnostic criteria for a range of neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. If you or someone you care about is having trouble with their learning, study, concentration or behavior then it is worth considering whether an assessment will provide helpful understanding and recommendations to help.

There can be many reasons why it can be helpful to assess an individual’s cognitive and developmental abilities:

  • To provide understanding into the reason for behaviour.
  • To outline strengths and weaknesses.
  • To outline how the learning ennvironment can be optimised.
  • To differentiate psychological symptoms with academic performance
  • To recommend specific support and services that could help functioning and developmental trajectory.
  • To help identify if an individual is eligible to access funding for early intervention services or other supports.
